The Opportunity
Several years into the company’s journey, Skykraft are expanding their corporate function including the onboarding of a high performing Senior Finance Manager.
In this key position, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health and stability of Skykraft. Leveraging your expertise in both financial compliance and financial management, you will be highly involved in helping the business make sure reporting and compliance keeps pace with their growth and investment. Your insights and strategic thinking will directly contribute to the success of Skykraft as an organisation, helping them achieve astute financial management as they transform the aviation communications industry through space enabled platforms.
Working closely with and supporting a very experienced commercial CFO/COO as well as the Executive Team, you will have the opportunity to scale your accounting and finance skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
The Role
You day to day role will include responsibilities such as:
- Managing day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, procurement, and one junior team member
- Completing the month-end process including ensuring the completion of the general ledger and Balance Sheet reconciliations and production of the management accounts (Balance Sheet/P&L/Cashflow)
- Analysing financial performance, budget variances and trends to provide insights for Executive decision making
- Managing cash flow & projections to optimise cash allocation and implement cash management strategies
- Implementing financial policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Preparing the quarterly reports to investors and annual statutory accounts
- Submitting taxation returns such as BAS, FBT, and GST and liaison with external tax specialists
- Liaising with external auditors
- Ensuring accuracy and completeness of all financial records and compliance with regulatory requirements
You are an experienced Finance Manager / Financial Controller with a strong track record of improving business performance through your insights and commercial awareness. You have well developed interpersonal skills and are able to communicate the insights you build with influence. Salary / Rate
$120-140K + Super + Incentives plus generous bonuses at key milestones
