As a member of the Finance Business Partners team, part of the wider Partnering and Performance Team, you will provide critical support to DHA's internal stakeholders and the CFO Group. Our Finance Business Partners are a team of specialists delivering financial advice, financial performance reporting, and facilitating a coordinated interface between DHA business areas and the CFO Group. This team support the making of key business decisions by identifying and analysing issues, developing suitable options and enabling appropriate decision making based on strategic organisational needs.
To be effective in this role you will ensure the integrity of financial data in relation to DHA's operational and corporate support programs and be responsible for the ongoing provision of management reporting across these programs to support sound decision making.

The Senior Management Accountant role requires a sound appreciation of management and project accounting concepts, financial accounting and cash flow management. In this role, you will have the ability to liaise effectively with all stakeholders on a regular basis, ensuring internal business needs are met and that DHA meets its regulatory compliance obligations.
Skills you need to succeed in the role:
- Expertise in management accounting and/or project accounting and reporting and the ability to work with limited supervision within a time critical environment and ability to prioritise work to ensure reporting deadlines are achieved.
- A high level of attention to detail and the ability to work effectively and independently with limited supervision as well as prioritise work, train and mentor other team members in a collaborative working environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with proven ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders on technical accounting and financial management matters.
- Demonstrated experience using a complex multi ledger Financial Management Information System and experience using management forecasting software and reporting systems and tools.
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Finance and/or working towards membership of CPA or CA are desirable but not essential.
- You will have excellent interpersonal communication skills and be able to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
