As a Senior Finance Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of reporting, planning and execution of strategy across the global organization. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including finance teams, business units, and ELT, to provide accurate and meaningful financial information for decision-making and compliance purposes. You will be responsible for a small, high performing team of qualified accountants who are all as impressive as the next albeit slightly junior compared to this role.
Responsibilities:
- No month will be the same - everything from acquisitions from due diligence to completion, managing transaction budgets, reviewing externally prepared tax structuring and technical accounting advice, coordinating settlement payment to vendor;
- Always looking for better ways of doing things - work on processes to ensure timely and accurate delivery of all finance related obligations under various agreements;
- Be prepared to work outside your scope - i.e. partner with Risk and Compliance on frameworks and applying that in a relevant way;
- Be the point of contact for the wider business - Review monthly management accounts with analytics and unit prices statements issued to investors, sign off on month end balance sheet reconciliations; and
- Your voice is important for the overall cash strategy - Manage the fund's cashflow preparing forecasts, overseeing AR and AP, resolving any funding shortfalls.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CA qualification is strongly preferred;
- Proven experience in leading a team of qualified accountants;
- In-depth knowledge of international accounting standards (IFRS) and local GAAP regulations;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and analyse complex financial data;
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with large volumes of data accurately;
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams;
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards; and
- Proactive mindset with a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to identify process efficiencies.
