The role & team

We have an opportunity available for a proactive Senior Financial Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Reporting directly to the Corporate Financial Controller, you’ll play a pivotal role in leading the preparation and delivery of month end results for the ANZ Corporate business units, partnering with and supporting key stakeholders. The role has direct input into annual statutory reporting and audit, consolidation processes and acts as a key contributor to process improvement initiatives within the team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Review of income statement accounts, cost centre allocations and provide analysis on material movements/trends
• Partner with senior managers/directors and support business decisions with accurate and insightful analysis
• Support the budgeting and forecast processes
• Preparation of journals, balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations

The skills we are looking for:

• CA/CPA qualified with demonstrated experience across financial reporting, statutory reporting, budgeting and consolidation.
• A solid foundation in accounting from a Corporate or audit background, you will display meticulous attention to detail and be able to work well under pressure.
• An excellent communicator with proven experience partnering with stakeholders.
• Demonstrated to have delivered change within the finance function through process improvement.
• Experience working with Hyperion, Adaptive Insights, SQL and a high level of Excel competency and systems experience would be advantageous.
