As they have made significant difference within this space and with continuous growth has now led to an opportunity for a Senior Financial Accountant to join their team South of Adelaide.
Your new role
Design and implement effective and efficient finance processes and controls to ensure timely and high-quality accounting ledgers are maintained and that internal customers' needs are met.
Lead and perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting processes to deliver accurate financial results, including intercompany transactions and group consolidations.
Provide high-level analysis and commentary on results across projects, business units and the consolidated group, including preparation of Board reports.
Guide and support the broader finance, accounts, and payroll teams both locally and globally.
Work with the Business Partnering team and Tax function in support of the wider Nova Group Finance function.
Key involvement in statutory audits and preparation of statutory accounts.
Identify and assess the impact of new or revised accounting standards, and implementing changes to systems and controls, including preparation of technical position papers and Board memos.
Ensure group accounting policies conform with accounting standards, and are appropriately documented, understood, and complied with.
Participate in Finance and ERP implementations, including development, testing, training, and support of best practice accounting processes.
What you'll need to succeed
Australian citizen
Have excellent interpersonal skills
Current or recently suspended AGSVA clearance OR Ability to gain a baseline security clearance
CA/CPA qualification
5-10 years' experience in a corporate financial accounting or external audit role
Tertiary qualifications in an accounting discipline
Robust data analysis, transformation, and problem-solving skills
Advanced skills in MS Excel, Oracle, SAP, TM1, Hyperion, Power BI or equivalent
Be a clear communicator both written and verbally
Be a team player with a can-do attitude
