The Opportunity
We currently have an opening for a Senior Financial Accountant to come and join our team in Sydney. In this busy role you will be responsible to plan, organise, direct, control and coordinate the financial and accounting activities to deliver quality accounting, reporting and financial support to key internal stakeholders in an accurate, timely and efficient manner.
Key responsibilities:
- Preparation of consolidated monthly accounts in accordance with group accounting policies.
- Assist Acciona Corporate Spain in understanding the monthly group accounts and respond to queries.
- Assist in the year end audit process.
- Preparation of monthly group and associate management reports including KPI and key variance analysis.
- Assist in the preparation of bi-annual company budgets.
- Assist regional teams and projects with financial support.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management reporting requirements which are presented to Executive Management.
- Complete monthly cash flow analysis.
- Maintenance of operational and associated company cost tracking, coding, and recording in the general ledger and related systems/processes.
- Preparation and maintenance of group and associate company general ledgers, including journal processing.
About You:
- Degree qualified in accounting and/or Finance. MBA and/or CPA /CA qualified ideally.
- Proven Accounting experience gained in a commercial or accounting firm environment.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
