To realise our vision we need a Senior Financial Accountant who has a passion for excellence whilst ensuring our financial reporting is accurate and delivered in a timely manner.
As the Senior Financial Accountant at Temple & Webster, you'll spearhead the preparation and delivery of financial statements in accordance with A-IFRS & Corporation Act, ensuring swift and precise financial reporting. Under the guidance of our Financial Reporting Manager, you'll play a crucial role in timely tax lodgements, aiding in budgeting and forecasting, and maintaining our financial operations' seamless flow.

What we’re looking for
The main responsibilities of this role include:
- Prepare annual and half-yearly financial reports with precision and expertise
- Reviewing and verifying documents for ASX lodgement
- Stay ahead of the curve by analysing the impact of new accounting standards and presenting technical accounting papers
- Contribute to our month-end process by preparing and reviewing workbooks and processing journal entries
- Provide valuable insights with management reports and budget variance analysis.
- Take the lead on preparing tax returns and BAS liaising with external consultants
- Support our Financial Planning and Analysis Manager in preparing budgets and forecasts
- Contribute to setting and achieving our finance teams' objectives and key results
What you already have
- Big 4 background is highly desirable, not a dealbreaker
- Strong knowledge of A-IFRS and ASX reporting
- CA/CPA qualified
- Tertiary degree in Accounting/Commerce or related field
- Organisational and project management skills
- Advanced Excel skills
- Knowledge of SAP B1 (bonus points for SQL proficiency)
- Experience in e-commerce is a plus!
