SalaryOur client is an iconic Victorian tourism business who's seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join their growing team. As Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in preparing the group's financial management reports, ensuring compliance with policies, laws, and regulations, and overseeing the accounting function. You will also assist with the annual budget process, mentor the accounts team, and support the annual audit process.
RESONSIBILITIES
- Prepare financial management reports, including Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow reports.
- Maintain financial records in compliance with policies and procedures.
- Ensure integrity of financial data and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Oversee the accounting function and establish accounting controls, systems, policies, and procedures for new business operations.
- Assist with annual budget process for subsidiaries, investments, and consolidated entities, including capital budgeting and reporting.
- Mentor and manage the accounts team in collaboration with the Group Accounting Manager and Senior Accountant.
- Support the annual audit process and collaborate with the finance team members as needed.
- Degree in Business or Accounting.
- Postgraduate qualification - CA / CPA.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar role.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience highly regarded
- Salary circa $100k-$120k plus super
- Mornington Peninsula location
