Details: The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for preparing financial and non-financial dashboard reports, data analysis, cost modelling and all other associated correspondence for both internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, the role is responsible for preparation and monitoring of budgets and forecasts for the Property and Government Insourcing Group as well as providing operational finance support to address and resolve complex issues related to business requirements.

The information below describes the capabilities that are required to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
Professional / Technical Skills and Knowledge
1.Experience in preparing accrual based financial reports, budgets and financial management reports in a cost recovery environment.
2.Proven experience in preparing financial reconciliations and ability in using financial information systems and financial reporting tools including TM1 systems.
3.Understanding of and ability to apply the data analytics tools including power BI.
4.Demonstrated experience with Microsoft applications Excel, Word and Power Point.

4.Well-developed verbal and written communication and collaboration skills, including a strong ability to effectively communicate financial information to stakeholders with non-accounting backgrounds, maintain strong effective working partnerships and effectively liaise, negotiate with and influence a range of stakeholders.
5.Commitment to the principles of innovation, best practice, continuous improvement and dedication to team success, particularly learning from situations and experiences that build personal and collective capability.
Compliance Requirements / Qualifications
1.Tertiary qualification in accounting/finance or audit is highly desirable.
1.Membership and professional accreditation or progress thereto of a peak Australian accounting body such as CPA or CA is highly desirable.
Note: This is a temporary position available immediately with the Possibility of Permanency. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only. This position will be moving to a new workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.
