Senior Front End Engineer - Sydney Office - Permanent Full Time

A great opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer who is looking to contribute to a valuable portal used by thousands of people every day. Building a better understanding of our customers through passion and curiosity and also driving continuous improvement and technical excellence in the collective output of the team

• Work with the product and engineering teams, contributing and evolving ideas to improve the experience of our customer

• Write clean, reusable, supportable, maintainable, scalable, tested code

• Use Agile Scrum methodologies and frequent code reviews and pairing to create additions that are secure, tested and proven.

• Approach challenges with a shared-ownership mindset and solution-oriented attitude

• Empower your fellow developers, value the success of the team as a whole and seek to increase the effectiveness of those around you.

• Mentor and empower more junior developers

• Engage with the broader Domain engineering community in your areas of interest, to share experience and push our capabilities forward

Attributes

• Great written and spoken communication skills.

• A solid foundation with design patterns and writing quality, sustainable, testable code

• Experience working in an iterative, agile / scrum environment with a mindset of continuous learning & improvement

• An ownership mindset and empathy for your team and customers

• Ability to nurture and foster relationships horizontally and vertically within a large technical organisation.

• Experience with the following technologies:

  • React and/or React Native

  • Javascript and/or Typescript

  • CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins)

• Optional but favourably considered:

  • App (iOS or Android) development experience

  • Knowledge of the Real Estate industry and supporting technology
