About the opportunity
The Senior Front-End Engineer position plays a pivotal role in crafting cutting-edge digital solutions to help sculpt seamless user experiences. Working with a cross-functional team of engineers and designers, this position will build a wide variety of rich and engaging React based web applications and presences.
Some key responsibilities of this role include:
- Building rich and highly interactive web experiences, using modern JavaScript frameworks and tooling.
- Contributing to agile workshops and planning.
- Supporting a collaborative and positive team culture, encouraging knowledge sharing and skill development.
- Mentoring other developers, including code reviews and pair programming.
- Collaborate with design and product teams to create innovative and user-friendly interfaces.
- Develop and maintain front-end codebases using modern JavaScript frameworks and tooling.
- Optimise web applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices.
- Minimum 4 years experience as a Front-End Engineer
- Experience in collaborating with designers and understand UX/UI principles.
- Advanced JavaScript in major frameworks.
- Experience building web apps utilising RESTful APIs & modern front-end tooling.
- Experience writing clean, performant and well tested code.
- Experience working in remote-first teams, using collaborative tools and processes.
- Ability to work across multiple projects for multiple clients.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work in an autonomous, remote culture.
- Advanced experience with React/Next.js.
- Experience with other JavaScript framework
- Advanced TypeScript knowledge.
- Understanding of WCAG 2.0 accessibility standards and best practices
