Senior Full Stack Developer - Nodejs

A2B Australia, renowned for our flagship product, the 13cabs passenger booking application, is seeking a seasoned Node.js Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities:

• Solution Design:
  • Design and implement efficient, cost-effective cloud solutions in Microsoft Azure.
  • Co-design product and feature solutions.
  • Uphold the ARB approval process.
• Coding:
  • Maintain and develop current products with high-quality code.
  • Adhere to and improve coding standards and practices.
  • Engage in code reviews, CI/CD pipeline, and TDD practices.
  • Uplift and customize existing solutions while capturing business requirements.
  • Contribute ideas for improvements and execute fixes.
  • Support, manage, and maintain backend solutions.
• DevOps and Support:
  • Participate in DevOps activities ensuring service availability.
  • Be proactive in addressing production issues.
  • Implement automated monitoring and alerting for critical features.
• Leadership and Mentoring:
  • Lead and mentor team members, fostering personal growth.
  • Create a positive, productive work environment.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies to enhance the team’s technical capabilities.

Qualifications:

• Tertiary IT degree or equivalent industry experience.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Agile methodologies advocate.
• Ability to collaborate with a remote and distributed team.

Experience:

• Write code in JavaScript (ES6/pre- ES6) & Typescript
• Proficiency in Node.js (7+ years)
• 10+ years’ experience in developing commercial applications (preferred)
• Sound knowledge of good coding practices and fundamental computer science principles.
• Familiar with database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, and the like)
• Proven leadership and team mentoring experience
• Hands-on HDD, BDD, TDD. Unit testing, CI/CD and Scrum Ceremonies (preferred)
• Adhere to established standards of quality for coding and documentation (preferred)
• Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud (preferred)
• Experience with payment products (preferred)
