Join our dynamic team at Qoria as a Part TimeSenior Global Payroll Officer, where energy and dedication drive success! We're seeking a detail-oriented payroll professional to play a vital role in our payroll operations, ensuring precise and prompt processing of the company’s payroll in Australia, New Zealand, and the United States. Here’s how you’ll do it:
- Payroll Processing: Preparation and processing of the payrolls for Australia, New Zealand and the United States, including calculating payments, executing payments accurately, and processing journal entries.
- Payroll Compliance and Legislation Updates: Stay updated on and ensure compliance with all payroll-related legislation across different regions (AUS, NZ, US), including tax, superannuation laws, and workers' compensation requirements.
- Payroll System Management: Maintain and manage employee data within payroll systems, ensuring accuracy in leave accruals, compensation, tax queries, and year-end processes. This includes handling complex payroll operations such as commission calculations and leave payout processing on termination
- HRIS Management: Accurately input data into the HRI System (BambooHR) in a timely manner, ensuring completion of all onboarding and offboarding tasks, which includes conducting background checks.
- Reporting and Documentation: Generate and manage payroll reports, such as leave balance reports, commission reports, superannuation payments and payroll tax, ensuring they are prepared and processed accurately and on time
- Cross-functional Coordination: Collaborate effectively with HR, Finance, and Technology departments to manage payroll-related projects and systems, ensuring smooth operations across departments and adherence to payroll schedules.
- Communication and Query Resolution: Address and respond to all payroll-related queries from employees and managers, providing clear communication and prompt resolution of issues.
- Process Improvement: Work with the Global Payroll Director on continuous improvement initiatives, aiming to streamline payroll processes and enhance efficiency.
- Training and Knowledge Transfer: Engage in knowledge transfer activities with Payroll Officers in other regions (e.g., with the UK Senior Payroll Officer) for cross-training and backup support purposes.
- Audit and Compliance Testing: Conduct regular audits and compliance testing to ensure all payroll activities are accurate and comply with internal policies and legal requirements.
Qualifications
What you'll bring:
- A minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on experience in end-to-end payroll processing.
- Deep knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance requirements in Australia. Experience with NZ and US payroll is a nice-to-have.
- Strong proficiency in Google Suite and payroll software, with the ability to adapt to new technologies.
- Exceptional numerical skills, attention to details, and the ability to manage time-sensitive tasks.
- Excellent communication skills and a high level of professionalism and integrity.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong drive to optimise payroll operations.
- Flexible and adaptable, comfortable working across multiple time zones to support Global Payroll operations effectively.
