AddressWe have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Grid Connection Engineer with a focus on Technical aspects of Grid Connection to join our Grid Connection team.
As the Senior Grid Connection Engineer – Technical at Tilt Renewables, you’ll be responsible the hands-on aspects of Grid Connection projects, with a specific focus on simulating and developing Generator Performance Standards (GPS). This position requires strong technical skills in GPS and proficiency with simulation tools such as PSSE, PSCAD, and PowerFactory.
The Senior Grid Connection Engineer will actively contributes to creating and refining simulation models and prepares comprehensive GPS packages for wind farms, solar farms, and battery energy storage systems (BESS). Working under the guidance and support of the Grid Connection Manager - Technical, this position enhances Tilt Renewables’ capabilities and drives innovation in hybrid generator technologies.
Key accountabilities include:
Simulation and Modelling:
- Run simulations and create accurate models, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct detailed GPS studies, aligning with industry and regulatory requirements.
Technical Support and Collaboration:
- Provide hands-on technical support within the team, fostering skill development and project success.
- Collaborate closely with the Grid Connection Manager - Technical to meet strategic objectives and operational compliance.
Tool Development:
- Contribute to the development of simulation tools, enhancing our ability to analyze and optimize Grid Connection processes.
