This is an exceptional opportunity to join the Melbourne Head Office of a substantial Australian business which has successfully established itself as a market leader in its sector. With a strong customer base in Australia and a growing presence around the globe the business continues to pursue a strategy driven by organic growth, product innovation and investment in strategic acquisitions.
Reporting to the Group Tax Manager you will primarily manage the Direct & Indirect Taxation compliance requirements for all Australian entities within the Group. Your broad scope will also include preparing income tax returns, periodic tax provisions and reporting & compliance for BAS, FBT, the coordination of R&D Claims and providing support for the Group’s tax forecasting and Transfer Pricing obligations. As a collegial member of the Group’s finance function you will be expected to use your technical subject matter expertise and your client focused work ethic to respond proactively to tax-related queries from internal stakeholders and work with external advisors to help to ensure that the Group’s compliance obligations are met and that the governance frameworks for planning and risk management continue to effectively support the Group structure.
This is a broadly mandated role in a highly acquisitive and growth focused international enterprise. You might be looking for your first move from Chartered (Big4 is preferable) or you may have developed your Tax knowledge in another multi-entity corporate environment (prior experience in preparing consolidated taxation returns will be highly regarded). Equally important will be your aptitude for combining your technical expertise and business acumen to deliver rigorous and timely results, your flair for building highly collaborative working relationships and the energy and drive to manage competing priorities in a growth focused and high performing corporate environment.
