About the Role
Due to growth, we are expanding our formidable Health and Safety team. Based at our global headquarters in Adelaide this role will support the Manager Health and Safety Systems and Assurance to establish, implement and maintain an effective health safety and security (HSS) management system, frameworks and programs that will prevent harm, minimise risks, meet compliance obligations and achieve HSS objectives.
Essential to the success of the role is the engagement, collaboration and influencing of key stakeholders to understand HSS needs, to develop effective strategies and solutions, and to drive continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the establishment, implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of:
Health, Safety and Security management system
Contractor H&S management framework
HSS assurance framework, which is integrated with the corporate risk and audit and regional business unit assurance programs.
HSS compliance management framework
- Leading independent assurance activities across the business (including key strategic contractors) to verify and validate the effectiveness of HSS management system and risk controls, and with an emphasis on coaching and sharing best practice.
- Contractor performance monitoring and reporting to identify trends and risks, and develop strategies to improve performance.
- Build organisational contractor HSE management capability through the development and delivery of training, resources and coaching.
- Embed the HSS management system into everyday operations by focussing on tailored, practical, and fit for purpose processes and platforms.
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on HSS performance against improvement plans, objectives, and targets.
About You
You will be qualified in Occupational Health and Safety / Work Health and Safety (degree or Masters preferred) with significant demonstrated experience in large, complex organisations within high-risk industry.
