About the role:
Provide high quality customer service and tenancy management to Council's social housing tenants and applicants through effective administration and communication. Provide operational support to Housing Officers with meeting key performance indicators and maintaining positive, sustainable and collaborative relationships across the Divisions.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership
- Support team members to resolve complex tenancy management issues.
- Ensure weekly distribution of reports.
- Actively participate in Housing management meetings and workshops.
- Actively support team members to action reports to maintain effective occupancy rates and efficient rent collection.
- Visit Divisions in the Cluster as required to provide practical support, advice and role modelling for Housing Officers.
- Supervise the Housing Officers within the Cluster through ongoing performance appraisal and liaise with Coordinator Housing with respect to identified performance needs.
Occasional Travel to Cairns and throughout the Torres Strait Islands is a requirement of this position.
