This is an interesting project that will see you adopting a practical approach to analysing requirements, partnering with stakeholders and mapping out implementation timeframes for compliance checks, such as Working with Children Checks.

Key Responsibilities:
- Solution Design - looking at options for the organisation in relation to the implementation of compliance checks, including role analysis to identify which roles need certain checks
- Create a consistent set of factors that will support in identifying high-risk role types/job families across a range of divisions
- Implementation planning - including process design for new starters and change management for existing employees
- Monitor and Review protocols - process design for managing changes to employee compliance check status', checks for when new roles are created, role description updates and implementation review and reporting
- Manage and oversee all aspects of project planning, development and implementation including developing project plans, coordinating resources, managing budgets, meeting reporting requirements and supporting project-related activities to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget and to quality standards
- Establish and maintain stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation and issues management to engage stakeholders and ensure project deliverables are met
- Monitor and evaluate all aspects of project implementation, including risk and contingency management, benefits realisation, project impact and quality measures, to identify and address issues, assess project progress and effectiveness, and achieve project outcomes
- Manage a project team/s, ensuring compliance with governance and quality requirements, to successfully deliver all key project/s milestones and outcomes
- Undertake research and formulate recommendations to support evidence-based project planning and decision making
- Provide advice and information to stakeholders on emerging project issues and to support project development and delivery in line with established plans, budgets, timeframes, policy objectives and other project and priorities
You will need to:
- Experience at a senior/leadership level in a Project Management/Officer role is essential
- Understanding and experience in interpreting the GSE would be beneficial
- Ability to conduct initial discovery and analysis, before taking the project through to implementation stage
- Candidates must be proactive, intelligent and self-motivated, with a passion for integrating themselves into the task
- Excellent communication skills required, with the ability to partner with stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to remain calm and solution-focussed when under pressure
- Understanding of strict processes, particularly surrounding HR in the Government space
- Candidates must be available immediately
- Candidates must be able to commit to the required duration of the assignment
- This role requires candidates to be a strategic-thinker, with an analytical mindset and the ability to implement changes in a short space of time
