Senior Human Resource Consultant

Eden Ritchie is seeking a Senior Human Resource Consultant who will be part of the Human Resource Team that provides Administration support to the Biosecurity Queensland Business Group.

• 3 month contract with possible 12 month extension
• Brisbane CBD location

As the Senior Human Resource Consultant, your key responsibilities will include:

• Provide strategic Human Resource advice and support to deliver practical business outcomes and ensure quality people management practices.
• Maintain knowledge and awareness of current Human Resources practices and systems, industrial instruments, and emerging trends to ensure compliance and/or provide recommendation for continuous improvement.
• Analyse employee data to address individual and broader workforce issues, define risks and present evidence-based solutions to support decision making processes.
• Contribute to Human Resource capability across the workforce through the design, development and delivery (online and face-to-face) of training, procedures, guidelines and resources.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and subject matter experts to support Human Resource initiatives and meet desired outcomes.
• Research, review and prepare reports, briefs, submissions and other correspondence in accordance with departmental requirements.
• Participate in Human Resource projects and working groups to ensure outcomes are delivered within agreed timeframes and meet business and client’s needs.
• Contribute to team cohesiveness and capability through participation in professional development opportunities and promotion of a positive environment, respectful of the views of others.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Must have Qld Govt experience as a HR officer and knowledge of QSS, Aurion and Qld Govt Directives, policies and procedures.

Highly Desirable to this role are:

• A relevant qualification in Human Resources/ employee relations from a recognised tertiary institution, would be well regarded.
