Working out of our amazing Osborne Park office, the Senior Hydrogeologist will primarily be responsible for ensuring mining operations and growth projects are supported with hydrogeological advice, providing and implementing strategies to ensure dewatering, water supply and water security is on track.
Role Responsibilities Develop strategies for pit dewatering, excess water management and borefield monitoring. Develop water supply strategies for construction, mining activities and LOM. Provide technical guidance and support to site teams; monitor compliance to plan.
Provide technical advice for mining proposals. Develop hydrogeological field programs comprising targeting for exploratory drilling, borefield design, bore construction design, test pumping, analysis of results, and reporting. Manage hydrogeological field programs.
Develop groundwater operating strategies, manage water licencing and undertake annual reporting. Undertake data management and analysis. Prepare scope of works and review proposals, ensuring the scope and proposal entails the needs of the project.
Provide leadership to field hydrogeologists and technicians. Visit project and operational sites when required. Effectively communicate with all internal and external stakeholders.
Role requirements Tertiary Degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Engineering Preferred 5 years experience in a hydrogeological role Other hydrogeological related experience will be considered if relevant competency is demonstrated. Experience with mining operations is highly desirable.
