Senior ICT Engineer to join our Red Ochre Autonomy and Sensors Business Unit reporting to the Project Engineering Manager. We are flexible in terms of location and will accept applications from SA, ACT and NSW.We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.You will be responsible for the ICT technical solution, as a senior ICT engineer with specific skills in analysis, architecture, networking or system administration.The
Senior ICT Engineer will be the lead for a particular scope of work, either as an analyst, architect, system admin, network designer, technology specialist. They will be responsible for delivery of that scope of work. They will take the lead technically in determining and guiding the processes, tools and methods to be applied to scope of work. They will also be responsible for the development of more junior ICT engineers within their team or the broader project team, as applicable.
Key responsibilities include:- Adhere to allocated cost, quality and schedule budgets, or applicable SLAs
- Manage identification and resolution of issues associated with the execution of ICT activities across the relevant scope of work
- Ensure collection and analysis of relevant ICT metrics to provide timely information on the status of the ICT program, taking appropriate corrective action, as required
- Manage delivery of relevant products through the engineering lifecycle
- Responsible for defining and maintaining elements of the project's plans, and performing ICT tasks in accordance with those plans
- Provide input and offer recommendations for improvement of Company processes and procedures
- Work with minimal guidance
- Interface with other teams on the project ensuring that the broader project team's needs are taken into account

About YOU- Degree in engineering, information technology, computer science, or other related area; Diploma in applicable technical domain or relevant experience
- Applicable third party certification, such as MCSE, CISSP, ITIL Foundation
- Experience with a range of the following: Windows Server/Client 2022 , Active Directory, MECM packaging and deployment, Linux OS, Ansible, Splunk configuration and maintenance, VMware and NetBackup
- Broad stakeholder communication and presentation skills (cross functional), strong customer focus able to utilise negotiation skills and manage potential conflicts
- Proficient skills in teamwork, collaboration, facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution
- Demonstrated analysis skills, critical thinking and problem solving
- Able to interpret and clarify ambiguous requirements
- High level of ability in validating solutions against customer needs and requirements
- Extensive experience in providing guidance and expertise on the systems, applications, networks, requirements or concepts, as applicable, including to external stakeholders
- Understanding and experience of governance adherence in the initiative/project lifecycle
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain
