- Develop and execute proactive strategies to enhance legal risk management controls;
- Offer guidance, negotiation, drafting, and advice on commercial contracts;
- Provide counsel on contracts, legal risks, and liabilities across various commercial scenarios, ensuring compliance; and
- Assist in delivering briefings to the Executive Leadership Team, Board, and Audit & Risk Committee regarding contract matters and legal advice.
The ideal candidates will be commercially astute and have a minimum of 7 years PAE with proven experience in commercial contracts management and negotiation. In addition, you will also possess the following:
- Admitted as a Solicitor in QLD;
- 7+ years’ post-qualification experience. In-house experience preferred;
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively;
- Ability to confidently present messages in a clear, concise and articulate manner;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to negotiate persuasively with stakeholders and advise clients and senior management on procurement planning, sourcing and contract management strategies;
- Strong alignment with COEX's values and purpose; and
- Motivated, pro-active and self-managing.
