This is a long-term contract role with an initial contract duration of 6 months, with the potential for extension up to an additional 12 months, located at our client's premises at Barton, Canberra.
As the selected candidate, you will:
- Lead technical resolution of incidents and problems within the ICT Infrastructure space, acting as a senior engineer.
- Work collaboratively across infrastructure teams to support incident and problem resolution.
- Provide technical expertise and advice to senior management and stakeholders.
- Produce and review project/services delivery documentation including Architecture, Designs, 'As built documentation' and Operating Procedures.
- Build and maintain stakeholder relationships across government.
- Implement, manage, and maintain a range of email and unified communications technologies.
- Complete a diverse range of technical tasks within a secure environment.
- Work as part of a high-functioning, multi-skilled team.
- Skills and understanding of Microsoft hybrid and full cloud technologies, Microsoft Server build and deploy, and
- Windows Powershell will be advantageous.
- Experience in solution design and delivery, project management, and stakeholder management.
- Capability to scope, plan, and execute small projects, manage risks and issues, and balance multiple competing priorities.
- Knowledge of the Information Security Manual (ISM), the Protective Security Framework Policy (PSFP), and other International Standards (ISO's).
- Background in architecting and delivering end-user compute, cloud, network, and security solutions.
- Experience in communicating solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong background in Windows and Linux server environments.
- Previous experience in DevOps, Reporting, and Automation is desirable.
- Ability to rapidly learn new technologies.
