Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Our Federal Government Client is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer. This is a long-term contract role with an initial contract duration of 6 months, with the potential for extension up to an additional 12 months, located at our client's premises at Barton, Canberra. As the selected candidate, you will:Lead technical resolution of incidents and problems within the ICT Infrastructure space, acting as a senior engineer.Work collaboratively across infrastructure teams to support incident and problem resolution.Provide technical expertise and advice to senior management and stakeholders.Produce and review project/services delivery documentation including Architecture, Designs, 'As built documentation' and Operating Procedures.Build and maintain stakeholder relationships across government.Implement, manage, and maintain a range of email and unified communications technologies.Complete a diverse range of technical tasks within a secure environment.Work as part of a high-functioning, multi-skilled team. To be successful in this role you should have:Skills and understanding of Microsoft hybrid and full cloud technologies, Microsoft Server build and deploy, andWindows Powershell will be advantageous. Experience in solution design and delivery, project management, and stakeholder management.Capability to scope, plan, and execute small projects, manage risks and issues, and balance multiple competing priorities.Knowledge of the Information Security Manual (ISM), the Protective Security Framework Policy (PSFP), and other International Standards (ISO's).Background in architecting and delivering end-user compute, cloud, network, and security solutions.Experience in communicating solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.Strong background in Windows and Linux server environments.Previous experience in DevOps, Reporting, and Automation is desirable.Ability to rapidly learn new technologies.
