The Westpac Group has a complex Information Technology environment that needs to deliver to the rapidly changing needs of our customers and employees, the ever-evolving IT landscape, and the Group's regulatory and statutory requirements.

How will I help?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Oracle Middleware Technical Lead to join the OAHP (Oracle Application Hosted Platform) Infrastructure L3 Team. The role will focus primarily on Operational Excellence; managing and supporting Oracle middleware on an Oracle Engineered system for Oracle products (Oracle Banking Platform and Seibel).

Your primary responsibilities will include - leading L2 & L3 in triaging and resolving complex, high priority incidents and problems, working on RCA and troubleshooting application/ infrastructure issues, designing new features, and delivering code changes, and providing impact assessments for those changes. As this is L3 role, there will be an on call aspect, only be as needed not regularly.

What do I need?

To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced Oracle Middleware Services specialist who is currently working for a large organisation and a proven team player. You will have an intense passion and curiosity to ensure the platform is stable and functioning in an optimal manner or ensuring that stakeholder queries are addressed. You are a thorough, Self-driven, methodical specialist with a fundamental commitment to process improvement, automation, and quality. You’ll thrive on bringing automation to routine tasks and continuously raising the quality of the service you provide.

The ideal candidate will be cross skilled in supporting and maintaining Infrastructure systems including Linux, Oracle Fusion Middleware and Exalogic/ExaData environments, with proven skills in Chef, Ruby or with equivalent automation tools skillset

Additionally, any exposure to the following technologies would be warmly welcomed:

Hands-on experience with operational support for Oracle Middleware products in production and non-production environments, experience with Oracle virtualised and non-virtualised environments
Experience with design and build for WebLogic and Oracle middleware products (OSB, SOA, UCM, Documaker, EDQ, ODI and HT), design and implementation of Oracle Middleware solutions
IDAM -identity and access management knowledge (Oracle Access Manager (OAM), Oracle Identity Manager (OIM), Oracle Internet Directory (OID)
Infrastructure automation using tools (e.g., Chef, Jenkins, ansible)
Monitoring tool knowledge: AppD, SPLUNK or Oracle OEM
Strong analysis, problem solving and troubleshooting and consultative skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
