About the Role

The Senior Insights Analyst delivers actionable insights from data and meaningful analysis and reporting to support organisational goals. Guiding and advising on workforce resourcing, this role plays a pivotal part in providing strategic and operational insights through comprehensive analytics, expert advisory services, and insightful reporting. You will leverage both descriptive and predictive models to enhance resource utilisation and contribute to business analytics and insights for board reporting, including the analysis of emerging claim and resourcing trends. This multifaceted role extends across all areas of the business and with all levels up to and including the Executive Leadership Team. 

You’ll contribute to: 

• Shaping the data analytics strategy through the creation of Qliksense dashboards, enhancing data literacy, ensuring data quality, and refining data definitions. 
• Proactively engaging in an advisory support function, providing insights, expert advice, and strategic guidance for the seamless integration of insights and data to enhance decision-making processes. 
• Utilizing statistical and modelling techniques to forecast future workforce requirements based on business projections, emerging claims experience, and industry trends. 
• Building and implementing operational staff resourcing models. 
• Identifying claim trends, patterns, and insights from data analytics to inform strategic workforce planning, resource plans, business cases, and regular board reports. 

A Bit About You

• Demonstrated background in data analytics, insights, and reporting across diverse business-related activities and initiatives within an enterprise.  
• Hold a bachelor’s degree in actuarial studies, Mathematics/Statistics, Data Science, Applied Finance, or a related field. 
• Demonstrated ability to lead, advise, and engage with stakeholders at all levels of an organisation, including the Senior to Executive Leadership team. 
• Proven track record in providing business analytics and insights for board reporting. 
• Demonstrated proficiency with three or more years of knowledge and experience in compensation and/or general insurance, or financial services. 
• Hands-on expertise in BI tools such as Qlik Sense, Power BI, Tableau, and data analytics tools/software like Excel, SQL, Python, or R. 
• Previous workforce analytics and resourcing related insights and reporting is highly advantageous. 
• Practical experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) is highly advantageous.
