Senior Instructional Designer

The role:

The Senior Instructional Designer designs, develops and implements functional, sustainable, and engaging learning experiences delivered across the business. The key focus of the role is to manage the design and implementation of high-quality and engaging blended learning solutions, and experiences that support learning outcomes, and are aligned with Auto & General’s culture of “high performance with high integrity”.

This is a fantastic opportunity for professionals seeking the next step in their Learning & Development career! This is a full-time permanent role that can be based in our Queensland offices in Toowong, North Lakes or Kawana.

Accountabilities:

• Lead the design, development, and optimisation of learning experiences to ensure they are impactful, and contain; clear learning objectives, logical design, sufficient content, effective instruction, and competency-based assessments.
• Work with the L&D team to develop and optimise instructional material across a variety of learning interventions.
• Provide recommendations on the development and implementation of the learning strategy, supporting systems and structures, and provide consultative advice to stakeholders on the implementation and adherence to the learning strategy.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand and define learning needs and lead the development of potential learning solutions.

Knowledge and experience:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Learning & Development role.
• Proven working experience in instructional design.
• Excellent knowledge of learning theories, instructional design models and the application of blended learning design principles and governance.
• Demonstrated experience recommending, developing, designing and/or managing company-wide learning programs in line with business outcomes and company values.
• Well- developed highly effective consultative and collaborative stakeholder management, with the ability to communicate clearly and adapt to audiences.
• Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace training (TAE) is advantageous.
• Working knowledge of databases and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
