Experienced, Senior Integration Specialist required to provide a high degree of technical and analytical assistance in the identification of opportunities and solutions to system integration problems.
Responsibilities will include delivering business solutions involving information technology, that satisfies agreed customer requirements. A detailed level of knowledge and experience in system and application integration is required.
The Senior Integration Specialist will be requested to perform either Operational or Project duties. They will be responsible for the operations and stability of the integration platform. Additionally, they will be responsible for the design, development and delivery of solutions using chosen software on integration related projects.
Technical Requirements
The role will consist of but will not be limited to the following activities and skillsets:
- Experience of API platforms including the design, development and implementation of REST APIs using OpenAPI specifications. Knowledge of Azure APIM or AWS Gateways is essential;
- Will be a subject matter expert in some of: Azure / AWS API Management, Python , Spring Boot, Docker, Terraform;
- Experience with some of AWS Lambda, Batches and Simple Queue System, Azure Service Bus, Function Apps and App Insights;
- Familiarity with some of: Oracle Weblogic, Oracle Service Bus, Oracle Fusion Middleware, SQL / PLSQL. Full Stack J2EE development stack is highly desirable;
- Experience with Agile practices including Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement and Daily Standups and applications such as Jira, Confluence and ServiceNow;
- Experience with CI / CD DevOps and release processes using Atlassian or Github products; and
- Experience of API integration with external systems.
Selection Criteria
Selection of the successful bid will be based on the following criteria:
- Degree qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline; or equivalent industry experience and demonstrated competence appropriate to the position;
- Highly specialised knowledge of Oracle Integration or API stack along with accompanying software;
- Detailed level of knowledge and experience in system and application integration;
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of ITSM principles;
- High level knowledge and understanding of current methodologies, practices and principles while fostering a culture of continuous improvement; and
- Demonstrated experience in managing change, resolving conflicts and analytically assessing risks to ensure operational outcomes are met and deliver positive business outcomes.
Duration
6-month contract with the option to extend for 6 months.
Reporting Structure
The role will report to the Integration Capability Lead.
