- Developing and implementing communications campaigns that keep Council staff informed of projects and programs.
- Sourcing content for, and coordinating, Internal Communications channels.
- Developing and implementing comms campaigns that promote Council's advocacy priority projects.
What you need to succeed- Tertiary qualifications in communications, political sciences, international relations, public policy or related discipline.
- Highly developed knowledge of communication principles in a local or state government context.
- Knowledge or experience in planning communications or advocacy campaigns, or knowledge of advocacy tactics is advantageous.
- Highly developed written and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to liaise with a diverse range of people at different levels.
