Permanent - Full time* 38 hoursSalary: Band 6 - $90,571 - $99,983 pro rata + 11 % superannuation*Role includes an RDOWe are looking for an experienced comms guru to play a key role in keeping our staff and our community informed and engaged about issues that are important to them.If you’re versatile and creative and looking for a role with plenty of variety, this one’s for you.What you’ll be working on

• Developing and implementing communications campaigns that keep Council staff informed of projects and programs.
• Sourcing content for, and coordinating, Internal Communications channels.
• Developing and implementing comms campaigns that promote Council's advocacy priority projects.

What you need to succeed

• Tertiary qualifications in communications, political sciences, international relations, public policy or related discipline.
• Highly developed knowledge of communication principles in a local or state government context.
• Knowledge or experience in planning communications or advocacy campaigns, or knowledge of advocacy tactics is advantageous.
• Highly developed written and verbal communications skills.
• Ability to liaise with a diverse range of people at different levels.
