This opportunity

The Senior IT Engagement Manager – within the OneTech organisation in TPG - will be the first point of contact for all IT & Digital new demands coming from our internal Business and IT Stakeholders. You will be required to gain an understanding of each areas long term strategy, aligning demand with capacity / funding availability and therefore ensuring TPG IT strategic roadmap and annual / long range planning is consistent, coherent and achievable. The role will also ensure TPG IT has simple and flexible processes that are fit for purpose and provide and maintain a consolidated view of business demand across the organisation.

Key to success will be the way in which this role builds relationships with key business stakeholders at a peer and executive level, as well as with peers across all technology domains, providing input into the technology transformation program, as well as taking a hands-on approach to Demand and Delivery process improvements and reporting of TPG IT roadmap.

Responsibilities

IT Engagement:

  • Act as the IT first point of contact for IT Demand engagements, acting as an account manager for strategic initiatives and help guide the Initiative Owner to the right Demand intake path.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Worksteam Leads, Initiative Owners and key Stakeholders in the Business Units, understanding their business needs, challenges, and opportunities and assist in the development of their IT requirement planning.

Demand Management

  • Collaborate with Initiative Owners to deeply understand their demand for IT solutions.
  • Provide ad-hoc strategic input for prioritisation and high-level feasibility assessments.
  • Leverage an in-depth understanding of teams' skills and capacity, including platforms, to inform decision-making.
  • Maintain a demand and portfolio-level risks and issues register.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks, ensuring timely resolution of issues.

Process Improvements:

  • Manage the gating process with IT delivery teams and Spring Office, ensuring that projects progress through defined stages in alignment with organizational standards.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage automation and technology tools to streamline processes and improve productivity.
  • Advocate for the importance of process improvements and secure necessary support and resources for implementation, including supporting / coaching team members on process adherence.

Capex Financial Planning:

  • Assist in financial planning during Long-Range Planning (LRP) and Quarterly Business Review (QBR) sessions and contribute to final plan revisions and reporting activities.
  • Ensure alignment of financial plans with the IT delivery roadmap.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Delivery teams to ensure budget adherence.

Resource Management

  • Maintain a central Resource Management application, with clear understanding of team utilisation and capacity and using this data to improve optimal resource usage.
  • Work closely with delivery teams to provide monthly forecast view of future workforce and resource allocations.
  • Maintain Resource data integrity through regular audits and data corrections.

Reporting

  • Assist in maintaining a Central Online Dashboard for all IT Demand Management.
  • Support weekly and monthly Initiative review sessions.
  • Actively seek ways to improve report quality and clarity for more effective communication.

Knowledge and experience

  • More than 10yrs in a competitive IT & Digital environment preferably Telecommunications environment.
  • Proven experience in planning annual roadmaps, quarterly reviews, budgets, forecasts, and reconciliations.
  • Strong attention to detail, organisational and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including superior presentation and ability to convey ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong relationship building and stakeholder management skills to collaborate on all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver under pressure; distil large volumes of information and identify/articulate areas that require attention.
  • Preference to have good knowledge of Telco platform architecture and Telco product constructs
  • High-level knowledge of Delivery Methodologies and complex IT project management.
