Your role as a Senior Java Developer will be responsible for the overall understanding, development and testing of software products and services.

A little about what you’ll bring to EFFISION 

• You have at least 8 years’ experience in a similar role
• You have a Bachelor's Degree in IT or Computer science, and Java professional certifications
• You’re an expert in Java/JEE technologies and have full stack development experience
• You have in-depth knowledge and hands-on development experience in Spring core framework, Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate, Maven
• You have in-depth knowledge and experience in HTML5, CSS4 and Angular 6
• You have experience working with git SCM
• You have experience in development of multi-threaded low latency applications, web-based applications using JSP and/or AngularJS
• You have experience in developing web services with SOAP and REST
• You have experience in developing REST APIs
• You have experience in developing with MSSQL, MySQL and Oracle
• You have intermediate knowledge of SQL
• You have an understanding of n-tier application design
• You have knowledge of Object-Orientated software design and development
• You have experience with Agile development methodology
• You have experience deploying and supporting software directly to customers
• You have strong presentation and verbal and written communication skills with various stakeholders
• You have the ability to learn new technical and non-technical skills rapidly
• You’re a proactive thinker with the ability to evaluate future implications of current decisions and actions 
• You have multi-tasking skills with ability to manage own workload and adjust priorities to meet deadlines
• You’re a self-starter, ability to act on problems and opportunities

It would be amazing if you also had the following (but keep in mind, we aren’t looking for unicorns – we want humans on our team):

• Exposure to ISO8583 message specification
• Exposure to Microservices development
• Exposure to containerisation
