The Company:
You will be working for a world leading Global Investment Bank located in either Sydney or Melbourne's CBD, within the global Markets space working alongside the business, Risk and Data Technology Teams
The role:
- Working as an end to end, server-side Java Software Engineer
- Responsible for successful delivery of solutions which meet the needs of the internal and external customers
- Be actively involved in continuous improvement, BAU and delivery.
- Be an advocate for the adoption of Agile/Scrum practice, methodologies and attitudes.
- Role model Agile leadership behaviours
- In excess of 7 years’ experience as a back-end Java developer working on large/ mission critical banking applications – Java 8, Java EE
- Object-Oriented software analysis and design
- strong knowledge of SQL
- Frameworks including Multithreading, Spring and Hibernate
- Scripting – Unix, Python
- Micro-services / RESTful service design
- Experience with AWS is desirable but not essential
- Worked in CI/CD environments
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in engineering, computer science or equivalent
