Our client is the Australian market leader, a global house hold name. This global power house is customer led, a multi employee award winner and they require two new developers to deliver relevant client applications, focusing on deployment, deployment automation and ensuring processes are well defined and communicated.
The culture is very supportive, and believe in career development/career progression. A very attractive salary, package and bonus is on offer. The roles are Sydney based but work from home for 4 days, 1 day in the head quarters, with is Sydney CBD, not essential to be in the office.
Main objectives
- Provide technical leadership to the working team, leading support and deployment initiatives.
- Provide estimates on implementation, deployment and configuration changes on different applications
and platforms as per project.
- Provide 3rd level production support on applications, platforms and products in client facing environments. To name a few.
Key skills and experiences to be successful
- Proven experience with build and development tools (e.g. Vagrant, Git, SVN, TeamCity, Artifactory, Maven, Ant, MSBuild, Subversion, Selenium).
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g. Shell, Perl, Python, Bash, Powershell)
- Experience using automation and configuration management tools (e.g. Octopus, Jenkins)
- Experience with Java Application Servers and Configuration (Tomcat, JBOSS/WildFly)
- Knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards
- Experience working with AWS or similar Cloud services
- Familiarity with continuous integration
- A positive “can-do” attitude
- Effective when working autonomously or as part of a team
- Promotes team cohesion and cooperation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
