Form of workNew opportunity available for an experienced Control Systems Engineer to join the Mackay office of this specialist electrical and controls engineering company. This position will be pivotal to the continued growth and development of this office.
As a Senior/ Lead Control Systems Engineer, you will have the opportunity to step up to a Lead Engineer position, and work across multiple PLCs across various industries, including water, mining, industrial and oil & gas.
Responsibilities
- Take a leading role in the design, development, and implementation of Control Systems based on project requirements.
- Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to guarantee smooth integration of Control Systems within the overarching project framework.
- Conduct testing, diagnose issues, and debug systems to ensure operational efficiency and reliability.
- Conduct regular maintenance and updates to Control Systems when required.
- Provide technical support to clients and internal teams.
- Stay informed of industry developments and trends to suggest innovative solutions.
- If required, be willing to travel to sites as needed on an ad-hoc basis.
More about you
- Bachelor degree in electrical engineering, or equivalent
- RPEQ highly regarded
- Experience with multiple PLC programs, such as Rockwell, Scheider, etc
- Experience with SCADA systems, including design and implementation
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
