A newly created role for a Senior Leader to take on a very exciting strategic and people leadership role within this Cyber Security division.
This is for somebody who has a background in bolstering Cyber Resilience through Cyber Threat preparedness, Cyber intelligence, monitoring and Incident Response.
This client, a globally recognised ASX listed business are driving significant changes in how they defend their group of organisations and raise the bar when it comes to Cyber Security standards in the industry.
As part of the leadership team, this hire will take responsibility for a key part of the Cyber Security decisions and engage with senior stakeholders across various disciplines to build relationships and design and implement necessary change to take Cyber Resilience to the next level.
You should know what good looks like from an Incident Response perspective and how you can help to build that, most effectively in this next role. An ethos of continuous development and extreme ownership are required.
The Role:
- Leading and building a team across the areas of Incident Response and Threat Intelligence including strategic resource planning
- Provide regular visibility and stakeholder reporting on current and emerging threats relevant to senior executives around Incident Response capability and operating metrics, performance and improvement areas to improve
- Lead and influence the definition and design of standards, frameworks & protocols to support the mission of cyber threat preparedness and resilience. This includes leading the team in developing defensive and offensive security frameworks, measures, best practices and requirements
- Stay up-to-date on emerging cyber threats, and trends in cyber defence and intelligence and recommend appropriate strategies
- Lead group-level coordination and support for cyber security incident management and response impacting Divisions, and provide group-level visibility into identification, containment and PIR efforts. This includes leading the team to support the business with critical cyber security incident management, necessary reports, investigative insights and corrective/preventative actions
- Contribute to the development of the strategy and group-focussed cyber strategies. Assist and contribute to divisional cyber security strategies to continuously monitor and improve the threat & risk profile
- Experience in major incident management - cyber Incident Response with critical infrastructure organisations or specialised Vendors / MSSP’s.
- Experience leading and building teams in highly technical functions within Cyber Defence divisions
- Evidence of dealing with stakeholder at all levels - must have consultative style and be able to talk both technical and strategy comfortable
- Experience with operational reporting to CISO and other technical stakeholders around actionable intelligence, defensive posture and Incident Response metrics
- Experience with helping organisations define and report threat profiles, and determine how organisations best prepare against those threats
- Significant expertise and understanding of MITRE and other frameworks, standards and methodologies in threat defense, intelligence and (foundational) offensive security
Hybrid model of 3 days a week in the office, with some flexibility around that.
