Part-time 0.4 FTE, continuing position
Contribute to the teaching of clinical dentistry in Oral Surgery
Base salary from $145,023 + 17% superannuation + potential dental clinical loading

The Sydney Dental School is seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer – Clinical Education. This position is crucial in making significant contribution to teaching and learning practice and engages in educational leadership within the school.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
undertake teaching and coaching of students within a clinical or simulated setting, applying clinical experience and expertise to inform best practice teaching
lead the development and implementation of Clinical Education innovation, curriculum design and review, ensuring alignment with relevant accreditation requirements
coordinate and engage in high-quality teaching and learning experiences which meet the university’s expectations and standards for education, including supervising higher degree research students to successful completions
apply clinical knowledge and expertise to innovate teaching and learning, including developing resources and innovative practices
contribute to innovating curriculum design and pedagogy to enhance, improve and evaluate health and education outcomes
provide mentoring and guidance to other clinical educators and manage and lead clinical teaching teams and projects
understand and contribute to furthering the university and faculty/school strategic agenda
develop and maintain productive links between the University, the profession and the University’s clinical and industry partners to improve outcomes for the profession.
About you:
dental qualification registerable in Australia
specialist registration in Oral Surgeon or recognised Oral Surgery experience in Australia
a developing network of relationships with key academic, industry and professional institutions, partners and stakeholders
demonstrated success in designing, implementing and evaluating teaching and learning initiatives
demonstrated understanding of the subject-matter within the discipline
experience in supervising or mentoring others
experience in teaching and learning, as evidenced by participation in team teaching and teaching in a variety of settings.
