Continuing, Full Time
Level B - AUD $107,098 pa to $126,971 pa (plus 17% superannuation)
Level C - AUD $130,939 pa - $150,813 pa (plus 17% superannuation)
Bathurst or Wagga Wagga
We are currently seeking an academic to teach in a broad range of discipline, which is a key component of the curricula of the newly formed School of Information and Communication Studies. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to develop and progress an active research profile aligned to the strategic direction of the School. Normally, candidates would be expected to possess a doctorate, but candidates who are in the process of completing their doctoral studies will also be considered. Following appointment, a formal workload allocation of up to 30% to support this completion may be applied for. Preference is for the successful candidate to work at the Charles Sturt campus at Bathurst or Wagga Wagga. About you
A doctoral qualification in a relevant field, or current enrolment in a doctoral program.
Capacity to deliver high-quality student-centred learning and teaching in an online environment.
Evidence of and a demonstrated commitment to the delivery of high-quality student-centred learning and teaching.
Evidence of and a demonstrated commitment to high-quality research publications and competitive research grants.
A record of research or professional activity relevant to the discipline.
Demonstrated ability to provide effective leadership in an academic setting.

Six Schools and Centres offer a diversity of courses in education, communication, social work and human services, library and Information Studies, theology, humanities, Indigenous Australian studies and Islamic studies. With over 10,000 students, the Faculty is an innovator in online and blended learning modes. Over 200 academic staff deliver distinctive courses, and are supported by a skilled team of professional staff. On campus courses are delivered at the Universitys Wagga Wagga, Albury-Wodonga, Bathurst, Dubbo, and Port Macquarie campuses, and at other locations including Sydney and Canberra. The School of Information and Communication Studies has over 45 years of experience in library and Information Studies education, and with our equally well-established communication courses supported by our on-campus advertising agency, we provide a solid learning foundation for our students, as well as engage in cutting-edge, industry-oriented scholarship and research. Library and Information Science (LIS) research in the School was rated 'above world standard in the most recent national assessment exercise (Excellence in Research for Australia) conducted by the Australian Research Council. Strong industry links and affiliations ensure ongoing relevance in course design, impactful research, state of the art facilities, national and international recognition of staff and students and high rates of graduate employment outcomes.
