Senior Lecturer in ICT
The Opportunity
The Senior Lecturer in ICT will be an on-going balanced teaching and research position, focusing on the development and implementation of teaching and learning material in ICT. Among other duties, the incumbent will contribute to the continual improvement of teaching and learning experiences and pedagogy through collegial engagement including professional review and re-accreditation. The incumbent will also apply for competitive research funding, conduct high quality research, publish research findings in appropriate outlets, and supervise HDR candidates. The role will include unit coordination, review, development and delivery of seminars and tutorials, and marking of associated assessments.
Key Accountabilities:
Make an effective and sustained contribution to the University in achieving its strategic objectives and fulfilling its operational responsibilities.
Undertake scholarly undergraduate and postgraduate coursework teaching of an exemplary quality by adopting a student-centred approach to student engagement in a range of units within the current degree programs.
Collaborate with educational design and other teaching staff.
Undertake high-quality research of national and increasingly of international standing.
Provide academic leadership, particularly in fostering outstanding research and/or learning and teaching.
Your Application
To be successful in the role, your application will need to demonstrate:
A PhD or equivalent in ICT or a relevant cognate discipline.
A strong record in, and continuing commitment to, research that has achieved national and preferably international recognition and made notable contributions to the field of ICT in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security or Games and Creative Technology, demonstrated by a record of high-quality publications, presentations at conferences, and success in securing external competitive grants and other funding.
A strong record of research higher degree supervision and completions, relevant to opportunity.
Experience and demonstrated achievement in University-level teaching and learning delivery.
Experience in developing high quality teaching material with an applied focus.

Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at Academic Level C and will have a total remuneration package of up to $173,682 comprising base salary within the range of $130,713 to $148,446 plus 17% superannuation. Relocation assistance may be considered for this role.
