Level C $130,810 - $150,431 or Level D $156,966 - $172,657 or per annum plus employer contribution of 17% superannuation.
Fixed term, full-time opportunity available for 24 months with the opportunity for conversion to continuing.
The School of Economics and Public Policy, renowned for its excellence in teaching, research, and engagement in Economics and Public Policy, invites candidates to apply for a Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research and teach courses in areas such as Health Economics, micro-econometrics, and applied microeconomics.
The successful candidate will work alongside world-class researchers in a collegial and respectful environment to support your research and teaching. We are looking for candidates who have a PhD in economics, applied economics, or a related field, an excellent research record and demonstrated teaching excellence, to lead and pursue research, scholarship, and professional activities. The candidate is expected to have excellent record in published research, teaching, and external funding. The School welcomes applications from diverse backgrounds.
To be successful you will need:

  • PhD in in Economics, Applied Economics, or a closely aligned discipline.
  • Demonstrated strong record of research scholarship, teaching, and professional/administrative activities within Economics or Applied Economics.
  • Excellent record of teaching success for courses in Economics or a closely aligned discipline at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • Demonstrated excellence in delivering quality teaching and curriculum design in face-to-face, online and mixed-mode teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • Demonstrated success at motivating and supervising the research of Honours and postgraduate students across a range of economics sub-fields.
  • Demonstrated track record of publications, and successful research grant and/or consultancy funding.
  • Excellent working relations with colleagues, academic community, industry partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, including literacy, numeracy and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to the principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion, and ability to contribute to the diversity of the School community.

  • Successful record of original, creative and innovative research
