- Based at either the Cairns Nguma-bada campus, Smithfield or the Townsville Bebegu Yumba campus, Douglas.
- Remuneration is at Academic Level C: $125,527 - $144,104 per annum plus up to 17% employer superannuation contributions.
In this role you will contribute to the design, development, teaching, and coordination of Pathways courses/subjects, ensuring the delivery of inclusive, accessible, and innovative curriculum. Working collaboratively with a diverse group of stakeholders, you will support community engagement initiatives and contribute to research on widening educational participation, whilst supporting the University’s strategic intent.
What you will bring to the roleAs a suitably qualified academic with significant experience in teaching diverse learners, you will bring a thorough understanding of transitional pedagogies and widening participation to the role. You will contribute discipline expertise in either STEM or HASS subject areas with a focus on the scholarship of learning and teaching. High-level communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills with experience and competency using a range of learning technologies will also be required to succeed in this role. Experience in teaching, research, and leadership within enabling, bridging, and/or university Pathways Programs is preferred.
