- Lead and manage the legal aspects of M&A activities, including due diligence, negotiation, development of agreements, and documentation.
- Provide legal advice on the company’s compliance with aged care laws and regulations including responses to regulatory bodies, high-risk consumer incidents, potential litigation, and the development of policies and procedures.
- Manage and oversee supplier and contractor agreements ensuring compliance with regulations and mitigating risks associated with these relationships.
- Provide general legal advice on other issues.
- Manage and oversee any litigation or disputes involving the company.
- Liaise with external Legal Counsel for specialised legal advice and support as needed.
- Ensure Respect is compliant with all legal and legislative requirements.
- 6+ years' post qualification experience with substantial experience gained within a medium to large law firm or the in-house legal team of a large or complex organisation.
- Significant exposure to a wide range of areas of commercial law, including experience in mergers and acquisitions, business and company, and contract law.
- Previous experience with aged care law is desirable but not essential.
