Tasks & responsibilities
This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Senior Legal Practitioner seasoned in Property and Commercial litigation matters, reporting directly to the Practice Principal. The position is responsible for:
- Mentoring, advising and supervising junior lawyers.
- Maintaining a substantial caseload and providing expert legal advice to a broad range of clients.
- Managing and supporting the team to ensure the firm provides client service at the highest level.
- Liaising with a broad range of clients, other parties, government agencies and financial institutions to produce successful client outcomes.
- Client relationship management.
- Drafting complex correspondence, commercial and court documents.
Qualifications & experience
- Reliable and experienced general practitioner with a minimum of 10 years post admission experience across a broad range of General Practice matters.
- Experience dealing with complex matters, expertise in the analysis and synthesis of facts, evidence and the relevant law and demonstrated advocacy and negotiation skills regarding complex legal matters.
- High level interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to provide clear and effective advice and negotiate successful outcomes.
- Extremely organised, strong time management skills, able to meet deadlines and to manage flexible priorities and multiple matters without direct supervision, within a fast-paced, busy law firm.
- Commitment to premium client service.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role would be well regarded.
