The Role

The Senior Loan Assessor role is responsible for reviewing, processing and management of loan applications from submission to formal approval and liaising with external parties involved in the process (Brokers, Lenders, Solicitors and Mortgage Insurers).

The new Senior Loan Assessor role will add to our existing Loans Processing team based in Leederville WA.

Key duties will include:

• Accurate and timely processing of home loan and personal loan applications through all stages from submission to formal approval/solicitor instruction
• Collaborate with Brokers, Funders, Solicitors, Valuers and other business partners to progress applications
• Upskill team members in credit assessment and other relevant training
• Ensuring all risk, compliance and policy requirements are met
• Provide mentoring, coaching and overall team support alongside the National Lending Operations Manager
• Identify process improvement initiatives and support rollout of new systems and processes

You

The ideal applicant will possess:

• Sound knowledge of end-to-end mortgage lending process
• Experience in all aspects of loans assessing and credit assessment
• Previous experience coaching and upskilling team members 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to plan and demonstrate initiative combined with outstanding time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team player
• Close attention to detail coupled with speed and accuracy
• Superior customer service skills
