Bluebay Home Loans is an established Mortgage Management business, which specialises in residential finance (construction and established) and other niche lending such as SMSF investment loans. The Role
The Senior Loan Assessor role is responsible for reviewing, processing and management of aspects of loan applications from submission to formal approval and liaising with external parties involved in the process (Brokers, Lenders, Solicitors and Mortgage Insurers).
The Senior Loan Assessor is also required to work closely with the National Lending Operations Manager and provide support with mentoring, coaching, process improvements and overall team support.
Our Bluebay Home Loans Loan Assessing Team is based in Leederville WA.
Key duties will include:
  • Accurate and timely credit assessment and processing of loan applications through all stages from Broker submitting the application through to formal approval/solicitor instruction
  • Work with Brokers, Funders, Solicitors, Valuers and other business partners to progress applications
  • Upskilling team members in credit assessment & process improvements
  • Ensuring all risk, compliance and policy requirements are met
  • Actively participation as a team member
  • Support National Lending Operations Manager
You
A Senior Loan Assessor must display a good knowledge of the mortgage lending process as well as a high level of customer service and attention to detail.
The ideal applicant will possess:
  • Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in all aspects of loans assessing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong phone skills
  • Previous experience coaching and upskilling team members
  • Ability to plan and demonstrate initiative
  • Outstanding time management skills and ability to work independently
  • Excellent team player
  • Sound judgement and credit assessment capabilities
  • Desirable - previous experience in process improvement
