Senior Maintenance Manager - Electrical & Instrumentation

Your Role

CSL are hiring a Senior Maintenance Manager, specializing in Electrical and Instrumentation. As the Senior Maintenance Manager for Electrical and Instrumentation, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation of our pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee all aspects of electrical and instrumentation maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety standards, optimizing equipment performance, and managing a team of skilled engineers and technicians.

Your Responsibilities

Reporting to the Associate Director, Head of Maintenance Services you will:

• Lead a team of electrical and instrumentation engineers and technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations
• Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations related to electrical and instrumentation systems
• Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical industry regulations and standards (e.g., FDA, TGA)
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies to maximize equipment uptime and efficiency and initiate improvement activities to enhance productivity
• Oversee the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems, including switchgear, motors, generators, lighting systems and electrical systems
• Manage the calibration and maintenance of instrumentation devices such as sensors, flowmeters, transmitters, analysers, and control systems
• Oversee Work Order management and schedule compliance
• Develop and manage the department budget, including forecasting maintenance costs and capital expenditures

Your Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation or similar
• Ideally at least 15 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation maintenance, preferably in the pharmaceutical or a related industry (Food and Beverage, FMCG, Chemical manufacture)
• Proven experience in a leadership or management role, with demonstrated ability to lead and develop high performance teams
• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, and control systems
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and engage effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management
• Project management skills and experience implementing maintenance programs and initiatives
• Certifications such as Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) or Professional Engineer (PE) would be highly regarded
