Job Description:The OpportunityQIC is seeking a passionate
Senior Manager,
APAC Compliance Advisory to fulfil a new role created to support its international activities. With two direct reports, you will ensure that QIC meets its regulatory and compliance obligations across the APAC region (Australia, New Zealand and Asia, including the Middle East). While preferably based in Brisbane, we are open to considering candidates in Sydney and Melbourne.Reporting to the Director of Compliance Advisory, you will play a pivotal role in:
- Designing, implementing, and championing an enterprise-wide compliance framework, ensuring adherence to regulations and best practices.
- Empowering investment teams and business units to take ownership for the operation of key controls designed.
- Partnering with internal stakeholders to proactively identify and mitigate compliance risks.
- Overseeing product, distribution, and marketing compliance functions.
- Preparing and presenting reports to senior management with key compliance metrics, risks and recommendations to drive informed decision-making.
- Fostering a strong compliance culture through leading by example and influencing others.
About You- Extensive experience in a similar compliance-focused role.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address compliance-related issues effectively.
- Proven ability to design, implement, and maintain effective compliance programs, policies, and procedures.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to influence and collaborate across diverse teams.
- A deep understanding of international compliance regulations and standards.
- Proven ability in balancing multiple, often competing, priorities by adopting a proactive, risk-based approach.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including demonstrated ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships.
- Degree qualified, preferably in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
