The way we work continues to evolve and at Zurich we are committed to creating ways of working that ensure you are helping to create a brighter future.A great opportunity exists to join Zurich's Life & Investments Finance team as Senior Manager Balance Sheet Management.In this key role, you will act as a 2IC to the Head of Actuarial Balance Sheet Management, overseeing a range of BAU activities/projects. These will include local regulatory capital, Swiss Solvency Test and Zurich Group economic capital. You will deliver insights into underlying performance, risks, and implications to ensure optimum utilisation of Zurich's overall business assets and resources. Other responsibilities will include managing the daily workflows as well as the training and development of the team. Liaising with other senior leaders, you will also drive innovative strategies using data and automation.Important to your success - let's grow together
- Relevant tertiary qualifications; Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia or equivalent body
- Minimum 5 years post qualification experience.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to mentor a high performing team
- Experience working closely with multi-disciplinary Finance teams.
- An analytical mindset and ability to interpret complex information
- Knowledge and experience of the Australian insurance and financial services market & related statutory regulations
- Knowledge of Solvency II / Swiss Solvency Test is desirable but not required.
- Good understanding of technology used for Actuarial calculations
- Demonstrated knowledge of statistical and actuarial modelling techniques
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to demonstrate change management in an agile environment
