The individual will work collaboratively with the wider Optus Networks, IT, Satellite and Enterprise teams and be responsible for the governance of Optus' Disaster Recovery activities and integration with the broader Optus Business Continuity Management program.The day to day
- Set consistent standards and processes for Disaster Recovery in alignment with the existing business continuity framework and existing Group level policies and Optus Standards
- Validate recovery objectives for critical assets in alignment with business continuity activities
- Ensure up-to-date Disaster Recovery plans are in place and tested for critical assets
- Follow up outstanding issues and actions identified from Disaster Recovery planning and testing
- Support the co-ordination of recovery activities in the event of a disaster
- Provide reporting on the status of Disaster Recovery activities
- Drive the continuous improvement of the Disaster Recovery program and framework supporting business strategy
- Degree or equivalent experience in IT, Engineering, Computer Science. ISO 22301, CBCP, BCI or similar certification advantageous
- Demonstrated experience within risk, resiliences, IT or Network infrastructures teams
- Experienced with Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity process, managing governance activities
- Prior experience running workshops with internal SME's, working collaboratively across a variety of functions and able to make critical decisions in a timely manner.
