What will your typical day look like?
Client delivery
• Advise clients on their operating model, embedding leading practice around governance, risk and compliance
• Problem solve and project manage sprint teams to help clients respond to emergent risks and regulation
• Help clients deliver major enterprise change whilst protecting the interests of internal and external stakeholders
• Present insights and recommendations to Senior Management and Executive stakeholders
Team leader
• Play a passionate and meaningful role in developing the careers of team members by enhancing their governance, risk and compliance capabilities
• Lead high performing project teams and manage individual performance at a project level
• Contribute to the culture and development of wider team of peers outside of a project environment and mentor junior staff as they develop their careers
Business growth
• Manage projects with responsibility for quality, client service and project financials
• Invest time building relationships and profile in the market and in the Firm
• Contribute to the development of the business by taking an authentic interest in the challenging problems faced by existing and new clients

The Risk and Regulatory team advises some of Australia’s largest and most influential organisations on their governance, risk, compliance and control frameworks as well as the risk and regulatory impacts of major change.

We operate an outward-looking and global practice, part of the Deloitte Asia Pacific firm, bringing insights from every continent to Perth as well as providing our expertise across Australia and internationally.

You may have all or some of the following skills / experience:
Advisory skills
• Leader in Governance, Risk and Regulation
• Good commercial intelligence, an understanding of how large organisations operate
• Passionate about making an impact at the top end of town
• Experience in complex problem solving, consulting or business improvement preferred
• Experience conducting analysis (desktop research, data analysis, reviewing documents etc.) and synthesising into digestible outputs (e.g. reports)
• Highly effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to build strong relationships with C-Suite Executives and Boards
• Strong facilitation skills
• Experience with creating high quality business development materials
• Experience leading and mentoring teams with a passion to develop others
• Curiosity to learn, reinvent yourself and proactivity bring forward ideas
Technical background
We are a multidisciplinary team with a wide variety of backgrounds. You would be a good fit for this role if you have experience in:
• Enterprise strategy and governance, risk and compliance, designing and implementing contemporary governance frameworks and operating models
• Health and safety management, safety assurance and safety management system design or implementation
• Significant organisational transformation e.g. merger / demerger, digital transformation, operating model refresh and restructuring, regulatory transformation
• Process improvement, lean / data driven analysis, and experience in designing processes and governance (oversight) of those processes
• Experience in mining, oil & gas, healthcare or financial services sectors and / or professional services experience would be advantageous
