Primary Responsibility:
Reporting to the Vice President, Business Development APAC the position of Senior Manager, Growth Solutions will be responsible for leading a Design Engineering function whilst collaborating with global Supply Chain Solutions, Operations and Functional teams to create feasible costing proposals that add value to customers’ supply chains and meet Americold’s financial metrics.
What You'll Do:
- Drive Growth solutions by getting to know our Customer’s Temperature-Controlled Warehouse & Transport needs.
- Prepare quantitative cost modeling using Americold standards.
- Collaborate with the Growth team (Business Development and other Functional support teams) to meet APAC’s Growth Strategy.
- Develop/maintain analytical tools to improve quality of design whilst focusing on continuous improvement, productivity, and cost-out opportunities.

What Experience and Education You Need:
Ideally you are someone who has exceptional attention to detail and who prides themselves on being deadline oriented and can maintain a high level of productivity. In this role, you will engage with a variety of operations and corporate staff and therefore will be expected to communicate appropriately with staff at all levels and work as a team player.
- A 10-15 years of work experience in a related field including:
- 7+ years in related role such as Industrial Engineering or Solutions Engineering
- 5+ years in logistics solution design in a 3PL environment and/or Supply Chain Consulting
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related discipline
- Master of Business Admin, Supply Chain / Logistics or Engineering preferred
- Experience in Distribution Centre/Warehouse design required
- Experience in Warehouse Operations required
- Experience in Supply Chain Optimization/Strategy preferred
What Could Set You Apart:
- Having an excellent understanding of supply chain elements and associated costs.
- Having analytical problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively and strategically, such as when faced with imperfect data.
- Excellent project management skills and experience related to design, prioritization, management of teams, deadlines, tasks, etc.
- Possess a strong understanding of requirements to see RFPs to successful completion.
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively to direct and motivate teams, while maintaining a persuasive and credible presentation style at all levels of the organization.
- Have extensive demonstratable experience creating persuasive proposals and presentations.
- Be a team player approach with strong mentoring and management skills to maintain engaged associates.
- Possess strong operational knowledge and a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment of positively changing expectations and culture.
- Must demonstrate strong systems skills including MS Office Suite and email systems. Experience utilizing supply chain optimization tools and other quantitative modelling tools. Knowledge of project management and labor management tools a plus.
- Must be business savvy, possess financial acumen and demonstrate excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment of positively changing expectations and culture
- This role requires travel, both nationally and internationally. Ability to travel 10-15% on average, peaks to 20-25%
